Julie A. Spencer, CPA

Julie Spencer began her career in public accounting, and for the last 25 years has primarily dealt with turnaround situations either in formal reorganizations or informal out of court reorganizations providing financial, administrative and management services.

She co-founded and is a partner of LS Associates LLC (“LS”) a crisis management and turnaround firm formed in 2002 and headquartered in Louisville, Ky. As a partner of LS, Julie has worked with over 325 companies with debt ranging from $2M to $ 250M. LS serves clientele in both the United States and internationally in various industries.

Julie’s professional experience includes:

• Handling administrative and financial analysis, projections and tracking in reorganizations and liquidations in order to maximize benefits for all creditors.
• Serving as controller, advisor and a management team member of various corporations.
• Preparing and drafting situation analyses, business plans and sales memorandums.
• Developing and preparing Court reports in both Chapter 11 cases and Receiverships.
• Managing and leading companies through difficult cash flow challenges. 
• Managing data rooms for sales of companies and mergers and acquisitions.
• Drafting contracts for engagements and review of legal documents.
